Overview

The Slack connector syncs chat history — channels, threads, and DMs — into PipesHub’s knowledge layer. It enables teams to find decisions, revisit past discussions, and build agents that reference real-time conversation.

How it works

Via Slack’s OAuth-based API, PipesHub pulls messages, user data, attachments, and timestamps. Public channels and shared files are indexed; private channels or DMs are optionally included if scoped. Threaded context and mentions are preserved for semantic linking.

Configure

• Create a Slack app and assign scopes like channels:history, users:read, files:read

• Install the app and enable the connector in PipesHub

• Select which channels and message types to sync

• Configure refresh intervals and access rules
