Overview

The Outlook connector integrates Microsoft email and calendar data with PipesHub’s AI layer. Emails, threads, appointments, and attachments become searchable across the organization — allowing agents to retrieve context from inboxes, trace communication timelines, or link meetings and messages to projects and tickets.

How it works

PipesHub authenticates via Microsoft Graph using Azure AD OAuth. It fetches mail and calendar data for selected mailboxes, including emails, replies, attachments, folders, appointments, and metadata (e.g., sender, timestamps, categories). Email content and calendar invites are parsed for semantic search, while respecting Microsoft 365 access policies.

AI agents can cite original emails, auto-summarize conversations, or generate calendar-based digests using this data layer.

Configure

• Register an application in Azure AD with Mail.Read and Calendars.Read scopes

• Enable the Outlook connector in PipesHub's Microsoft 365 integrations

• Configure user consent or admin consent depending on org policy

• Define mailbox selection (all users, specific users, shared inboxes)

• Set sync schedules and permission filters to control visibility
